Replace icons in an existing project
- Export a fresh
AppIcon.appiconsetfrom ikonMaker. - In Xcode, delete or replace the existing App Icon entry in Assets.
- Drag the new
AppIcon.appiconsetfolder into the catalog. - Confirm target membership (main app and App Clip if applicable).
- Clean build folder, then archive to verify icon slots are complete.
App Clip
Two separate jobs — do not mix them.
- App Clip app icon: preset iOS or 1024. Put that
AppIcon.appiconseton the App Clip target. Same 1024 RGB, no-alpha rules as the main app. - App Store Connect header: preset App Clip only. That writes
AppClipHeader/at 1800×1200 JPEG + PNG. It is a marketing header, not an app icon, and is never generated with a normal iOS icon export.
